Background

Permission to study the computer network was given by the IT manager at HIMolde.

Experiment/Project

Study the computer network at HIMolde. Research the 80/20 rule in conjunction with the network.

Possible research ideas:

- How many percent of the received e-mails is spam? 20% spam and 80% relevant?

- Which IP address/computer sends out the majority of e-mail?

- Do 80 percent of the viruses come from 20 percent of the connected computers?

How? Why?

The conclusion of the experiment might be interesting for the network administrators and faculty.

Contact with the IT department will be held throughout the experiment.
