• Elected leader of the board for the National Academic Council for Information Science (Nasjonalt Fagråd for Informasjonsvitenskap). This role extends for 2 years (11/2009-11/2011).
• Leader of NOKOBIT, an academic organization,(Norwegian Conference for Organizations Use of Information Technology) in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
• Vice President of the Norwegian Fencing Federation (Norsk Fekteforbund), for 2010-2011, 2008-2009. Member of the executive board since 2006.
• Member of the Executive Board of The IRIS Association of the AIS. (Information Systems Research in Scandinavia is IRIS, Association of Information Systems is AIS). Elected Norwegian representative for the term of Oct. 2009- Oct. 2012.
• Leader of the Likestilling Utvalg (Equal-opportunity Committee) for Molde University College in since 2006.
