My research interests are mainly focused around (meta-)heuristic search methods for combinatorial optimization problems, focused on the application of Tabu Search and Learning Techniques using adaptive memory processes. The methodical work has focused on methods for solving general 0/1 MIP’s and Satisfiability problems. My applied work is in vehicle and vessel routing, crew rostering and forestry planning.

The optimization activities at Molde University College are coordinated by the Optimization Group, where I am currently the leader.
